Japanese old tale "Peach Boy"

Hi.

Today I would like to introduce Japan's old tale.

That story's name is "Peach Boy".

"Peach Boy"

There used to be an elderly couple once in a while.

Husband to lawn mowing to the mountain, my wife went to the laundry to the river.

A big peach has flowed from upstream when she is doing the washing.

She picked up the peach and went home to pride him.

He said, "What a big peach!"

When they tried to cut a peach, a baby came out of peach.

They are, because the baby was born from a peach,  was named him "Peach Boy".

The child received a love of two people and grew big.

Around that time, demons tormented people's lives in town.

One day the peach boy said.
"I want to go on an extermination of demons."

The old couple was worried about him, but they decided to let him kill the demon.

Before he departed, his grandmother gave him dumplings.

He departed to an island where ogre live.

While he was going to the island, he met a dog.

The dog said.
"Please give me the dumplings you have."

He answered.
"If you will knock down a demon with me, I will give you the dumplings."

The dog said.
"Okay, I will follow you."

He companionized a dog.

Then monkeys and pheasa came and said,

"Please give me the dumplings you have."

He answered.
"If you will knock down a demon with me, I will give you the dumplings."

Monkey and pheasant said.

"Okay, I will follow you."

Dog, monkey, pheasant followed him.

They crossed the sea and arrived at the island where the demon is at last.

Peach boy said to demons "Do not bother the lives of people in the town."

The demons said to him, 'No, we will defeat you!'

The battle between demons and Peach Boy started.

The dog bite to the demon, the monkey scratching the demon, pheasant was poking the demon.

Finally, Peach Boy killed the demon.

The town became peaceful as they knocked down demon.

Peach Boy lived a happy life with an elderly couple who was raising parents forever.
